Meltdown – Young People Leaving the Church

Last Sunday, during my first talk in the series, “Meltdown,” I mentioned that young people were leaving the church in bigger numbers than ever. This is in spite of the fact that more of them believe than the generation that is older than them. Why are they leaving? Because they do not see the church as relevant. In my talk, I said I believe part of the reason they see the church as irrelevant is because so many of their parents are trusting in money and not trusting in Jesus. If their own parents can’t really trust in Jesus, why should they?
