We just received the papers from the lawyers and the State of Texas showing that our merger with Broadway Baptist is complete! That just took a quick six months! We can now move forward with loan plans for the construction! God is GOOD!
If you’re not a FOSM attender, here’s the deal… Back in May of 2007 another church in San Marcos called Broadway Baptist approached us about joining with us. We met together several times and prayed a lot. The people of Broadway visited our services. After some time, we felt God leading us to go ahead and merge. Broadway met in their last business meeting and decided to disband and give their buildings and land to Fellowship of San Marcos. They had been hanging on for years and felt God leading them to do this. Basically, now it’s official :) It’s amazing to see how God works.
