I just came back from being with a couple from our church while the wife had surgery. These dear friends have been through a lot lately and were really needing a miracle. After a while, the doctor came out and said ‘Everything went perfect. The previous diagnosis was wrong. The patient will be fine from here out!’
That is the second time I have heard that in less than three weeks! Isn’t God awesome?!? My friend and I started talking about how cool it is to see God move when we pray. I like to call it the ‘Sweet Spot’… When you know God’s will, pray for it, and know in your heart God will make it come true very soon. I felt that as I prayed for my friends this morning.
James 4:2b-3 says ‘You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.’ From this verse and others like it, we know that if we ask, and ask according to His will (the right motives) that we will have what we ask for! There’s nothing like praying in the ‘Sweet Spot!’
