1) FOSM yestarday was AWESOME. I know I always say that but…. Todd Mayo rocked, the sound guys kicked tail, we had lots of new faces, and the talk really challenged me. It was a blast doing the talk, by the way.

2) FOSM’s volunteer staff met afterwards with our new Home Team guru, Marty Mosher. (Marty started at FOSM on Jan 1 of this year. I’m excited about the energy and freash ideas he brings to the table.) The meeting with Marty was encouraging and challenging. Way to go Marty.

3) Wow, the Monday funk is strong today even after coffee. I hope everyone I saw at the gym this morning knows I wasn’t mad at them. Or that I wasn’t hoping to start a fight.

4) Speaking of gym… it’s time for the “Eight Week, Weigh Down, Throw Down” update… drum roll please… all week 1 totals are in… I’m in 5th out of 22 people with 2.4775 percent body weight lost! I’m just a pound or two from first place. If I only hadn’t eaten those three pieces of pizza yesterday! 7 more weeks to go. http://claytonbellonline.com/?p=1430

5) Had a great talk with my friend Tony at the coffee shop today. It’s fun to talk with people who don’t believe the same as me and are also intellectually honest.

6) 24 last night was OFF THE CHAIN. Bic pen in the eye baby! Can’t wait until tonight’s episode.

7) FOSM volunteer/leaders meeting at 5:30 today. Can’t wait!

1) FOSM this morning was AWESOME… The music, the message, the props, communion, and just getting to see my brothers and sisters in Christ after being out for a few days… it was all really special. You rock FOSM!

2) Speaking of FOSM, I am pumped about hiring Marty Mosher as our new Home Team coordinator. Marty is a great guy that I have known and loved for many years. He was the founding pastor of Fellowship at Plum Creek. This past September 1, he resigned from that position to begin working on his new ministry of launching, growing, and multiplying small groups. God has really blessed FOSM by putting us together.

3) I had a great night tonight with my family. We played Halo 3, watched a little extreme home makeover, and played on the floor with the 2 year old and his collection of rescue rangers. I am a rich man.

4) I really like twitter, texting, facebook, and stuff like that. A lot. Spent about an hour tonight connecting with several people. Laughed a LOT.

5) Um, some people I know have some really big news. That’s ALL I can say right now.

6) We kicked off our new series this morning called “Resolution.” It’s a vision series. I feel like a kid unwrapping presents (and looking forward to more) as I share what I believe is God’s vision for FOSM. I can’t wait until next Sunday!

7) I’m competing in the “8 Week, Weighdown, Throwdown” hosted by Clayton Bell. I’m paying 20 bucks to compete to lose a little weight with a bunch of other mostly pastor types. Winner takes all baby. Two things: a. I LOVE competition. b. I love redneck pastors who think up stuff like this so other redneck pastors can make losing weight a manly thing. Thanks Clayton!

PS. I ate about a half gallon of ice cream tonight so I would be nice and fat for the first weigh-in tomorrow. Let’s keep this our little secret and never speak of it again…

1) Fantasy Football Update – I lost last week! I had 128.5 points and still LOST! Lee Evans has 6 points after three weeks. He’s on the bench for sure this week. We started this league at FOSM to help people connect with each other. I tell you, it has been one of the best things we have ever tried. There are 14 teams involved. We’re spending a lot of time hanging out, talking trash, etc. Super cool.

2) Sean turned 7 this week! – Time flies, whether you are having fun or not. It seems like yesterday that we had him. Now he is seven years old. The combined years of age of my kids is 29 now. Wow! We’ve got a cool backyard camp out party planned for tonight. SPOILER WARNING – This Sunday I’m talking about using your time wisely. Man, this birthday really brings it all home.

4) Romo! I told you he would have an awesome year. Let’s see if he can keep it up and take the ‘Boys to Super Bowl glory. It’s been a while. It would be nice to see it again. Great to see McNabb finally kickin some rear.

5) Sunday – I’m pumped about Sunday. Funny video intro about wasting time… Kenny Chesney song to close it out. It’s really got me thinking about how I spend my time.
